About This Position
Mercy San Juan Medical Center (MSJMC), an award-winning hospital and member of Dignity Health, is currently looking for a Registered Nurse – Per Diem to join their hospital staff. The incumbent is defined as a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. The Registered Nurse provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care in the operating room suite. As a professional, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.
MSJMC features 11 operating rooms and averages over 500 cases per month. We cover all services, specializing in Trauma Orthopedics. The Operating Room Nurse reports directly to the clinical coordinator and/or manager and is expected to be able to scrub and circulate all services: trauma, general, orthopedics, neurological, gynecological, vascular, plastics, & ENT.
At least 1+ year experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room or cardiac surgery in an acute care setting. Please note that this is NOT a training position.
Skills related to laboratory and x-ray order entry, and online documentation preferred.
Candidates must have a current California RN License, and BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
Other certifications may be required.
Weekend call shifts also required. Variable with call and weekend requirement.
