About This Position

Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, a member of Dignity Health is seeking an experienced individual to join their team as Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing care and is responsible for providing First Assistant Duties to the during surgery procedures under the direct supervision of the Surgeon, who is a member of the Medical Staff of Methodist Hospital and has full clinical privileges in the services indicated. The Nurse Practitioner will help the surgeon to carry out a safe operative procedure with optimal results for the patient and is responsible for clinical coordination of the surgical patient from surgery to post discharge. The Nurse Practitioner will provide those medical services which he or she is competent to perform and which are consistent with the nurse practitioner scope of practice, education, training, and experience which are delegated by a supervising physician who is responsible for the care of the patient.

Requirements:
Current CA Nurse Practitioner licensure and DEA furnishing number
At least 1 year of experience in surgery first assist duties and proof of training
Experience in general surgery and/or orthopedics procedures is preferred
BLS from the American Heart Association
ACLS is preferred
