Organizational Unit Michaels / Legal / Real Estate Location Irving, TX, US 75063 Job Level Corp-Exempt/Professional Category Legal Job Description The Legal Coordinator performs a variety of administrative duties to support the Assistant General Counsel and Real Estate Attorney, as needed. Records subordination and non-disturbance agreements and memorandum of lease documents. Assists in preparing correspondence, lease summaries, reports and other legal documents, prepares site plans, provides administrative support, including phone coverage, file maintenance, managing database used to track matters and projects, managing calendars and making travel arrangements. Primary Responsibilities: % of Time Major Activities 40% Support Assistant General Counsels and Real Estate Attorney in day to day responsibilities including word processing, drafting correspondence, meeting planning, making travel arrangements, 20% Prepare and negotiate SNDAs. Record SNDAs and Memorandum of Lease. 10% Prepare lease summaries. 10% Prepare landlord correspondence. 10% Prepare and negotiate amendments. 5% Prepare and update reports (project tracking updates, abstracting, tracking and letters). 5% Prepare site plans. Total should equal 100% Job Requirements Category Applicable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities a. Minimum level of formal education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree a plus b. Area of study: c. Special certification or technical skills: · Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel Word and PowerPoint) · Experience with Access is preferred. · Paralegal certification a plus. d. Minimum years experience required: Minimum 5 - 7 years law firm and/or in-house corporate legal experience supporting multiple attorneys is required. e. Type of experience the job requires: Retail real estate experience preferred. f. Other: Competencies for the successful candidate: . Regular and reliable levels of attendance are required. . Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information. . Must be able to handle multiple tasks, wet and shift priorities, meet deadlines and take initiative to solve problems and reduce administrative burden on Assistant General Counsel. .
