Job Description
Basic Function:

 
The Transportation Clerk will provide clerical assistance to the Regional Transportation Manager (RTM).
 
Primary Job Responsibilities:

 
§ Confirming store deliveries on time and follow up.
§ Process various transportations reports for RTM.
§ Complete new store tracking.
§ Customer Special Order/Creating pick waves.
§ Processing vendor routing requests.
§ Backup for RTM for store and vendor routing.
§ Processing and distributing carrier notices for all SBA, Seasonal and Vendor deliveries.
§ Assisting RTM on short and long term issues involving operations, other DC's, vendors, supply analysts, carriers and the Director of Transportation.
§ Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
 
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* General computer knowledge including Word, Excel, and using e-mail
* General product knowledge and familiarity of operations.
* Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
* Must be in good standing for attendance and job performance
* Overtime before and after shift may be required.
