-ABOUT MONEYTHINK-

Moneythink empowers urban high school students to build a better future through peer mentorship and financial education. To do this, we train and place top college students in local high school classrooms to deliver weekly seminars on financial life-skills and entrepreneurial thinking using an innovative curriculum focused on pop-culture, music, and sports. To complement our in-classroom learning, we also connect our students to extracurricular opportunities such as entrepreneurship competitions, externships with local companies, and field trips to banks.

Since its humble beginnings in 2009 as a student club at the University of Chicago, Moneythink has grown into a nationwide student movement, training over 300 college students to mentor over 2500 students in 17 urban campus communities nationwide. In March 2012, Moneythink was recognized by President Obama as a White House Champion of Change and featured on MTV as a social venture reinventing the American Dream for the next generation.

Please note that you are not required to live in Chicago, IL; this position is open to individuals who would like to work remotely. You will be expected to work 10-15 hours per week. This internship is unpaid, but you will receive a personal recommendation letter written by the Moneythink Executive Director upon successful completion of your work.
