Montgomery College Early Learning Center, on the Takoma Park Campus, has need forChild Care Teachers. The Early Learning Center is open Monday – Friday between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Positions are temporary without benefits. – Open until Filled

Job Summary: These positions report to the Manager and Lead Classroom Teacher. The positions are responsible for assisting with:
• Implementing a developmentally appropriate program for children ages 2.5 to 5 years of age
• Participating in ongoing assessment of individual children
• Accurately maintaining children’s records
• Collaboratively maintaining the facility to ensure safety and security of the children

• Supporting the Lead Teacher and Manager to ensure that the Early Learning Center meets or exceeds compliance with Maryland State Department of Education Child Care Licensing and National Association for Education of Young Children standards
Required Qualifications
• High school graduation or G.E.D
• 6 semester hours or 90 clock hours of child development and curriculum planning, or hold a Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Current certifications in pediatric First Aid and CPR are required, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Experience in a licensed early childhood program.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to speak more than one language
• An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
