DESCRIPTION

Access to confidential records and computer access will be based on the need to know when involved in specific patient's care, billing activities, ordering prescribed medications or supplies, investigating communicable disease reports, established quality improvement activities, i.e., peer review, records review audits, and investigating complaints.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

Prepares tray with instruments and supplies and passes to dentist, dental resident or dental students as requested. Maintains records. Orders supplies and maintains inventory. Sterilizes and maintains dental instruments and equipment. Mixes cements, pours model and prepares bit guards. Cleans instrument cabinet and maintains sterile supplies. Exposes and develops x-rays.

Coordinates with and schedules volunteer dentists, dental hygienists. Coordinates with and schedules clients and/or facilities for dental services.

Performs related work as required.

Private and county vehicle use may be required. If private vehicle is used, employee is reimbursed a mileage rate.
