OCCUPATION PROFILE JOB FAMILY: HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS OCCUPATIONAL GROUP:TECHNOLOGISTS AND TECHNICIANS, HEALTH OCCUPATION: PHARMACY TECHNICIANS This advertisement is for a Pharmacy Technician position located in the Region II/Union Correctional Institution Pharmacy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or its equivalent, or completion of a vocational, military or community college pharmacy technician program or licensed practical nursing program and one year of experience as a pharmacy technician, or two years of experience in providing nursing or direct patient care service of a medical nature in a county health department, hospital or institution, clinic, convalescent home or other medical setting. College coursework in pharmacy, nursing or other medical related field can substitute at the rate of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours for the required work experience.
