DescriptionThe New Netherland Museum is accepting applications for internships. We are looking for energetic, hard-working interns.
A small non-profit, the New Netherland Museum (NNM) operates the replica ship Half Moon. The Museum runs an educational Voyage of Discovery program for middle school students, in addition to a wide range of other educational and exploratory programs. The NNM thrives off its volunteer base, which is central to all of the Museums activities. The nature of the Museums work is highly cross-disciplinary and requires flexibility and creativity. Interns may work on projects related to: Website Development, Database Management, Curriculum Development, Communications, Art, Photography, Design, Media, Communications, Marketing, Fundraising, Museum Management, Writing, Donation Management, History, Education, the Sciences, and Information Technology. The projects will be tailored to the specific skills and interests of a successful applicant. The projects vary in scope and commitment, but a minimum commitment of 8 hours a week, for the duration of the semester, will be required. Successful internships have been completed by students in high school and graduate school, as well as undergraduates and recent grads. These are unpaid internships. Apply on Company Website |
