About Next Stop Career
So the burning questionwhat do you want to be when you grow up? Next Stop Career is designed to help college students, recent grads and other members of Gen Y answer this exact question! Founder Kelly Olin, former FORTUNE 500 College Recruiting Manager and certified career coach and trainer, got sick and tired of seeing students blindly choosing a major. She saw students graduating with no direction regarding what they want to do and taking the first job that comes along to the tune of nannying or waitressing. She noticed students wasting away on their parents couch and being totally clueless when it comes to knowing the fundamental skills to achieving any worthwhile job, let alone a career. Sound familiar? Next Stop Career to the rescue!
Next Stop Career is a professional development training practice that helps college students, recent graduates and other members of Gen Y build the skills necessary to identify and secure their dream jobs. We provide individual and group learning opportunities via live, online, on demand and in person training courses, a library of relevant educational materials, as well as personalized coaching and mentoring opportunities.
Kelly graduated from Michigan State University with her undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management and graduate degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations (MHRLR). Kelly was a student leader and worked at one of the schools career placement offices while at MSU. She studied abroad in France, The Virgin Islands and Thailand. Kelly completed five paid internships: Supply chain management with Pharmacia (now owned by Pfizer), Marketing with Eaton Corporation, Sales with Hershey Foods, Marketing with Ernst and Young in and Human Resources with Pulte Homes. Kelly was a distinguished honors student and was selected by the faculty to be the student speaker at the colleges undergraduate commencement ceremony in 2005. She earned her Professional Coaching Certificate (CPC) from the International Coaching Academy in 2010, an International Coaching Federation accredited institution.
Upon graduation, Kelly took a full time position with Pulte Homes and was eventually promoted in 2008 to their National Diversity and College Recruiting Manager. She is a successful entrepreneur, having developed a direct sales organization from the ground and growing it into a successful international organization. Kelly has earned many prestigious awards, including Rookie of the Year. Today, Kelly combines her professional, educational and social experience to help coach others in living happy and fulfilled lives.
