o The internship program began in 1967 to provide students with an opportunity to work as independent financial representatives while still in school.
o College Financial Representatives main objectives are to identify target markets, pursue and attain clients, and maintain client relationships.
o College Financial Representatives receive substantive training. Our office has a four to six day school where College Financial Representatives become familiarized with Northwestern Mutual products, sales methods, policies and procedures.
o College Financial Representatives work with a mentor initially, until they are capable and confident enough to work independently. Once the College Financial Representative can work independently they are able to contact clients directly-something no other finance internship program can offer!
o 1 in 3 College Financial Representatives are offered a full-time position upon graduation.
