• Responsible for Support and Release Activities for Business Systems Web Applications.
• Triage support and enhancement tickets daily, working with business leads to establish priorities and manage delivery through technical off-shore team.
• Provide initial functional analysis of issues reported, closing the cases through user education or standard functionality options wherever possible.
• Ensure support tickets are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Work closely with off-shore development team to review solution options, monitor activity and provide regular status updates to business.
• Design customizations, enhancements and configuration changes for new requests both inside and outside a standard release cycle. Ensure user requirements are met, owning multiple steps in the standard SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle): Business Requirements, Functional Design, System Testing and Deployment.
• Study user operations and identify areas of potential improvement or possible problems and document requirements for improving operations. Streamline functions and processes within web applications as possible

Experience

3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, with experience in at least 4 Oracle Modules

Required Skills

• At least 4 years’ experience supporting and implementing web applications based on .Net/ASP/J2EE/Force.com platforms
• Experience mentoring junior employees.
• Project Management Experience, Release Specific Experience preferred.
• Successful candidate should be well versed in structured design and development methodologies to perform full life-cycle application enhancement implementation including fit/gap analysis, design specifications, implementation, and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional Organization skills; able to multi-task.

Nuance Communications, Inc. is looking to fill an immediate need for a Senior Business Analyst to take on a Lead Web Application Support and Release Analyst position.

The Lead analyst will be responsible for managing and leading a growing team for the development and support of 50+ web applications supported by the IT Business System Team.

This position offers an opportunity to lead a collaborative team on and off shore, own a number of high visibility deliverables, leverage web technologies as part of your work and participate in all stages of software design, coding, testing and documentation. You will also work with the business areas to understand their requirements and help them prioritize support, enhancement and release items.

The Lead Analyst will work closely with his/her counterpart in India to plan and manage items in process. He/she will mentor junior analysts in this role and manage workload. He/she will be responsible for driving working sessions with business leadership. He/she will be responsible for support as well as quarterly release management in this area. Ultimately, the Lead will be responsible for taking control of client initiatives, anticipating and solving business issues for stakeholders, and promoting ideas that will meet business requirements and improve end-user productivity.

The analyst will work directly with business users and managers to support mission critical business functions. The analyst will establish and maintain positive business relationships with business managers and staff, their processes and priorities.

The role requires understanding business requirements and developing solutions by leveraging standard functionality or designing system enhancements. He/she should possess strong functional and business domain knowledge to ensure web application solutions are configured and coded to meet business requirements
