DescriptionResponsibilities:
The position is responsible for providing exceptional technical response primarily to Nuance’s eCopy SDK and also to OmniPage SDK customers. Provides code level review of customer solutions and best practices on implementing our connector technology in third party plug-ins as well as our OCR technology for use in third party applications. Needs to be available in rotating shifts for the support team to cover both US and EMEA timezones. Primary job is to handle customer incidents via ticketing system, phone and emails but it is also required to take part in investigating software defects, improving documentations and handling escalations.
• Provide support on customer-developed connectors for eCopy ShareScan using Nuance's eCopy SDK • Provide support on customer-developed applications using Nuance's OmniPage SDK Technology • Engage in advanced solution support initiatives providing diagnostic, troubleshooting and resolution strategies • Work with Research and Development to locate and resolve product defects. • Work with Quality Assurance to improve testing processes • Work with Program Management to outline areas of focus for new product releases and existing product updates • Work with Documentation Teams to review and provide feedback on all product documentation, build code samples for SDKs • Handle all support ticket escalations through ticketing system, phone and email • Wilingness to work in rotating 2-shift schedule or optionally in permanent night shift • Answering customer phone calls as required • Some travelling may be required. Qualifications:• Knowledge of Linux and/or Mac OS application development • Knowledge of tecnologies like HTTP, SOAP, JavaScript, SQL, authentication methods, data security and encryption • Familiarity with networking, including troubleshooting/monitoring tools and methods would be strong advantage • Familiarity with web servers like ApacheTomcat and knowledge of Java language is a plus Minimum of 3 years experience providing SDK level technical support for custom built applications or in software development • Strong programming skills in C# and other .NET managed language environments (knowledge in C/C++ is a plus) • Excellent ability and passion for correct code and design patterns, with debugging expertise (including code developed by others) • Knowledge of .NET framework 2-4 • Working experience with technologies such as C#, (C++ is advantage), .NET, HTML, XML • Past experience developing, defining, and expert use of software APIs • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills • Highly self-motivated and able to achieve results on tight timelines 4-year College Degree in Computer Science with focus on software development languages or equivalent technical degrees
