Position Summary:

The Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is looking for
cashiers/hosts for the Palmetto Market.

Responsibilities Include:

• Must be able to
convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to
evaluate and select among alternative course of action quickly and
accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure
situations.
• Must be effective in handling problems in
the workplace, including anticipating, preventing,
identifying
and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be effective at
listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues
raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to work
with and understand financial information, data and basic arithmetic
functions.
• Must remain professional in all situations.
• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a
friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular
attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by
scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming,
which include wearing proper uniform, hair neatly tied up w/ a hat or
visor, hair net and name tag when working.
• Comply at all
times with Omni standards and regulations to encourage safe and
efficient hotel operations.
• Be thoroughly acquainted
with all technical equipment to fully utilize its capabilities and
extend efficient services to hotel guests.
• Be thoroughly
acquainted with all guest scenarios and utilize at all times.
• Be actively involved in the sales process through the
increase of personal sales per man-hour, total sales for the
Marketand continuous increase in sales.
• Ensure the
delivery of all items called for from guest rooms by confirmation
with guests.
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop and tables
outside the shop
• Interact with other departments to
ensure that guest needs are satisfied.
• Speak with guests
in a friendly, warm manner, making them feel welcome.

Assist with monthly inventory.

Requirements:

Requirements Include:

*Previous restaurant or other food/beverage experience; fine
dining and hotel experience is preferred.

*Must obtain TIPS Alcohol Training Certificatebeforefirst day of work.

*Must possess the ability to multi-task in a busy
environment, follow through successfully on guest requests,
ensure guest satisfaction, and work as a team player.

*Excellent communication and presentations skills
.

*Must be familiar with how to
operate a computer (Micros experience a plus).

*Proven phone etiquette skills

*Previous cash handling skills are preferred.

*At minimum, high school diploma or
equivalent

*The ability to stand and/or walk for long
periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.

* All applicants must have a flexible schedule,
and be able to work weekends and holidays.
