Title: Diesel Mechanic
Location: TX-null
Installs, repairs and maintains diesel engines. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures on company vessels and military vessels. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Installs modifications and/or upgrades to engines.Assists in researching for quality; design modifications. Assists with engine testing.

Frequent communication with peer-level and sub-level management personnel and general workforce. Provides status reports to immediate management and program management.

Coordinates with Navy and Coast Guard for compliance with requirements. Work directly with system suppliers and their delivery teams as required. Interface and work military personnel in a training capacity.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. May supervise a team of subcontractor mechanics at worksite.
The Mechanic must exhibit strong time management skills complemented by the ability to prioritize resolving issues/activities. He/She must have working knowledge of marine vessels and diesel engine systems.

The Mechanic must have a combination of over three years of directly related training and/or experience. Must have knowledge of diesel engines, machinery, and auxiliary systems. Must have the ability to comprehend technical drawings and specifications. Must have an understanding of safety and security procedures and determine appropriate actions. Ability to travel both the US and internationally, 75% Travel

This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check.
If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
