We are currently seeking a Product Engineer with an optimization background located in our Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) headquarters.


 


As an Optimization Product Engineer you will be responsible for optimization/mathematical needs during the entire product creation phase that includes prototype, verification, manufacturing implementation and release. Each product is made of a combination of LEDs that are designed for specific applications such as automotive lighting, computer displays etc.


 


Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:


 




  • Integrated modeling of entire supply chain to identify opportunities for improvements, device solution methods for manufacturing use and implementation in manufacturing floor.


  • Formulating and implementing optimization modules to optimize supply chain.


  • Analyze demand and supply distributions to identify new product opportunities and work closely with Marketing on customer requests.


  • Work with Worldwide teams (Asia-Europe-US) to create optimum solutions from design phase to production floor. 


 

Desired qualifications:


 




  • MS/PhD in Statistics/Mathematics/Operations Research or related field.


  • Programming experience in Matlab/C++/C# .Net or other object oriented language.


  • Experience in semiconductor supply chain/ manufacturing environment preferred.


  • Familiarity with optimization packages such as Tomlab, Cplex etc.


  • Experience in data mining and statistical analysis.


  • Good Excel modeling skills.


  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
