JOB SUMMARY:
Design, develop, code, test, and deliver business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI suite of software.
Will work with BI team and business users to accommodate the business needs, resolve conflicting user demands and maintain positive customer relations with strong communication and coordination. Works well in teams and takes direction well from management. Will be required to establish areas of subject matter expertise and be able to communicate technical concepts into non-technical terms when working with non-technical constituents.
Emphasis will be on multidimensional modeling and development with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and delivery tools including Reporting Services (SSRS), Performance Point, Power Pivot, and Power View.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Gain a thorough understanding of the requirements and ensure the plan includes tasks that address each of them
•Collaborate with team members to identify project risks, design mitigation plans, and development estimates
•Design, develops, tests, documents, and implements SSAS and SSRS solutions based on design documentation provided by BI department
•Works within established development guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions
•Participate in quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedules
•Perform technical support activities required for execution of test plans
•Perform root cause analysis and defect correction as indicated by test results
•Evaluate outcomes, report results and document findings according to current standards
•Ensures work product aligns with customer requirements
•Document solutions as needed.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE EDUCATION:
•4-year degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
•3+ years of development experience with Microsoft's SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008R2/2012 (SSAS) using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
•3+ years of report and Report Builder development experience with Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008R2 (SSRS) using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) against SQL Server Analysis Services or SQL Server databases
•Solid understanding of MS Analysis Services (SSAS) cube structures
•Knowledge of MDX statements and functions to create complex calculations
•3+ years of database experience with SQL Server 2005/2008R2/2012 including client tools such as Microsoft's SQL Server Management Studio
•3+ years of data warehouse's modeling, design, and development experience is preferred
•Knowledge in fundamental concepts and practices of Business Intelligence, OLAP, data warehouse design based on Ralph Kimball's architecture, and multidimensional and relational reporting and analysis
•Helpful to have Microsoft's Team Foundation Source
•Helpful to have SharePoint 2007/2010 and its BI components
