JOB SUMMARY:                                          

Responsible for technical management of engineering programs.   Develops and manages program   strategy, planning, and tactical execution to achieve program goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and execute long term product plan jointly with Product Manager (using PDP process).
2. Develop product specifications based on market data and research.
3. Responsible for product bill of materials.
4. Manage program team consisting of functional areas: quality, testing, design, development, validation and technical publications.
5. Develop and manage all planned changes and cost enhancements opportunities.
6. Develop program cost goals, development budgets, and tooling budgets.
7. Resolve and implement design, development, manufacturing, and purchasing issues.
8. Initiate vehicle build schedules.
9. Resolve and Implement corrective action on field issues and warranty.
10. Track, maintain, and stay within the development budget, tooling budget, and unit cost budget.
11. Support product introductions to press, dealers, and consumers.
12. Participate in consumer focus group.
13. Present program status updates and product changes/enhancements to senior Management.
14. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE

1. BSME required, MBA preferred.
2. Minimum 6 years engineering project/design leadership experience in similar industry.
3. Decisive and prone to action.
4. Creative and innovative.
5. Strong professional development and team building skills.
6. Polaris product experience preferred (must be willing to learn).
7. Excellent product knowledge.
