Gov. Tim Pawlenty Will Deliver Tweetnote, Address Getting Americans Back to Work

LOS ANGELES (July 12, 2011) – TweetMyJobs will present the first-ever American Jobs Conference on Twitter on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, starting at 9 a.m. PDT and concluding at 3:15 p.m. PDT. Created with the 14 million unemployed Americans in mind, the American Jobs Conference brings together leaders in government, technology, business and recruiting to engage in real-time, nationwide conversations about employment with Americans of all ages on Twitter. Gov. Pawlenty's Tweetnote will be followed by a Tweet Panel and a series of Career Chats focusing on ways to use social media to enhance and expedite job searching. The announcement was made by Robin D. Richards, Chairman & CEO of TweetMyJobs.

The American Jobs Conference aims to extend social engagement by having attendees vote on the questions they are most interested in having answered. To foster networking, attendees will be able to create a virtual name badge and share them with the Twitter community.

The hashtag for the conference will be #jobs4US with individual hashtags allocated for each session. For participants who do not have a Twitter account, each session will be allocated an interactive page online where they will be able to monitor and contribute directly to the conversation. Polls based on relevant topics associated with the session will be created in real-time.
