Description

This position is responsible for responding to and executing action plans for regulatory alerts related to tax changes for Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefits (DB) and is part of the Pension Risk Transfer DB Operations team. The role will be responsible for overseeing timely implementation of withholding calculation changes, communication to business partners and participants as well as ensuring that withholding election forms in use by the business are in compliance.


 


This role will also execute tax correction processes for requests received in the STARS workflow. The process requires analysis of the request for good order & compliance then ultimately completing the corrective action in the Retirement systems.


 


The position requires data comparisons utilizing Excel and adhocs from administrative, tax and payment systems. The candidate will be responsible for completing research in administrative systems.  Navigation and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level are required.   


 


Responsibilities


  • Data research, sorting and comparison within Excel

  • Response to tax alerts, including action plans and overseeing execution of steps required to comply

  • Communication with business partners on compliance related changes to tax withholding

  • Communications to participants on compliance related changes to tax withholding

  • Research, analysis and completion of tax correction requests


  • BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • One year of Operations, Financial, or Accounting related work experience utilizing intermediate Excel functions preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Discretion to deal with confidential information. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
