The accounting specialist will be part of the GAAP Consolidation
Unit of the External Financial Reporting group. The unit is
responsible for the GAAP consolidated Financial Statements of
Prudential Financial Inc and its subsidiaries. The Unit supports
both internal and external reporting requirements by coordinating
the consolidations of financial statements by profit centers,
segments and total enterprise. The successful candidate will be
responsible for GAAP financial reporting and analysis on a
quarterly, and annual basis. Specific responsibilities may
include:

• Analysis/reporting of forecast and actual financial results for
  the Enterprise Adjustment profit center.


• Preparing enterprise consolidated footnote disclosures


• Preparing enterprise consolidating journals


• Coordination and preparation of consolidated equity roll
  forward and related equity checks.


• Work with business groups, SEC Reporting and Accounting Policy
  on accounting and reporting issues


• Preparing various quarterly requests


• Assisting in special projects involving enterprise
  initiatives

• Accounting or Finance degree required, Accounting degreepreferred
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in excel
• Knowledge of GAAP consolidation processes is preferred
• Knowledge of Consolidating tools such as Financial Statements(PFAP) and Supplementals applications (GAAP Package) is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and capable of handling multipletasks simultaneously Motivated, team player that is detailoriented
• Other: Overtime will be required during peak periods.
