Description
Prudential Annuities is seeking an Analyst for its Risk Management team.  The position will be based in Shelton CT, and the successful candidate will be required to routinely travel to other Prudential Annuities facilities.  The travel commitment, however, is not expected to exceed 25%.     
The Analyst will be responsible for partnering effectively with business management to identify risks, evaluate controls, and ensure appropriate issue escalation and resolution.  The responsibilities of the position are broad and can require interaction and collaboration with virtually any function, process or group within the Annuities business or Prudential Financial. 

   Understanding of Risk and Control concepts and tools, including the COSO integrated control framework
    Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and external contacts, and ability to work effectively in a professional team environment
    Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and conduct detailed and precise analysis and testing of business processes, procedures and functions across systems and departments
    Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects effectively, while also demonstrating flexibility to take on additional tasks as required   
   Demonstrated ability to deliver factual, precise and impactful communications to peers, superiors and Senior Leaders in writing, orally and in formal and informal settings  
    Ability to engage, discuss and review issues, concerns and questions with staff and management  in a professional, respectful and thoughtful  manner while still being seen as offering solutions and options to support the accomplishment of business objectives
    Ability to effectively interact with Prudential Control Functions (i.e. Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit) to ensure business work efforts are focused and are receiving the appropriate amount of attention 
    Specific Annuities business experience preferred, but not required
    Previous Risk Management or other control related background preferred, but not required
    Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
     Professional and Industry designations, licenses and certifications such as CPA, ARM, Sig Sigma Black Belt or RMP preferred but not required.
