Global Strategic Research is a strategic advisor to Prudential businesses by providing them with actionable insights to help them achieve their key performance goals.  Our mission is to add value to Prudential businesses by providing strategic, actionable recommendations based on integrated research, data and analytics via primary and secondary sources. 
This is an exciting research opportunity supporting one of Prudential's fastest-growing segments - the International Businesses.  Prudential's International Insurance business manufactures and distributes individual life insurance products currently to consumers in 10 countries.  We also offer proprietary and non-proprietary asset management, investment advice and services to retail and institutional clients in selected international markets.    
Responsibilities for this position include creating, managing and presenting forward-thinking market research that supports the company's efforts to better serve customer's needs and provide new opportunities for business growth.  This position is located in Newark, NJ and reports to a Vice President in Global Strategic Research who serves as the business lead.  While we have access to extensive video and teleconferencing technologies, flexibility to travel internationally is important for understanding of individual country operations and collaborating to develop advisory relationships with in-country leaders. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
         Work closely with the business lead and clients to identify research needs and help clarify project objectives
         Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of the business success drivers, industry issues, regulatory issues, and competitive frame
         Plan and execute custom quantitative and qualitative studies, including all phases of the research project from defining the scope to creating actionable recommendations
         Manage project plans and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, on time and within budget
         Work to integrate market trends and secondary research with insights from primary research and customer data, as appropriate
         Develop and design presentations, reports and other deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations
 

REQUIREMENTS:
         A minimum of 7 years of experience in the market research and/or consulting industry
         A minimum of 2 yrs of financial services industry experience
         International market research experience desired, flexibility to travel required
         Experience with a wide array of custom research programs, including new product and service development, brand, advertising & positioning studies, awareness & usage, competitor analyses, and customer satisfaction research methodologies
