Description
As a Manager in the Anti-Money Laundering Unit, the ideal candidate will have worked in a compliance or investigative function and should be able to demonstrate the readiness to progress in the field of Anti-Money Laundering and OFAC compliance. The candidate will be responsible for performing Anti-Money Laundering and OFAC-related reviews including: transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, risk assessment, due diligence and enhanced due diligence through detailed analysis of new and existing clients to identify high-risk issues.  This candidate must be able to effectively document results, and recommend appropriate disposition to management.  The individual will also be charged with monitoring existing and new clients that have been identified as high-risk, including reviewing transactions for suspicious activity, and performing detailed and documented case reviews.  The individual will be responsible for drafting suspicious activity reports and coordinating their review through to filing.  In addition, this person will be expected to learn and perform Anti-Money Laundering or OFAC compliance projects, tasks and methods as needed to support the needs of the unit.
 
The qualified candidate must be able to exercise prudent judgment and discretion in the process of identifying and resolving problems/issues relating to Anti-Money Laundering or OFAC compliance and must be able to manage through work flow challenges that may arise in response to meeting unit and/or business partner needs.  The candidate should have a positive outlook and will be expected to demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with other business and compliance units throughout the enterprise.

Requirements:
 
Education and certifications:
  •  BA or BS Degree required
  • CAMS or CFE certification a plus
 
Experience:
 
  • Minimum of four years of anti-money laundering or investigative due diligence experience required
  • Knowledge of Mutual fund, Life Insurance, Annuities, and/or retail Broker/Dealer products a plus
  • Working understanding of transactions related to life insurance policies, annuity contracts and retail brokerage accounts a plus
  • Experience with institutional brokerage customers is a plus
  • Experience in the drafting of Suspicious Activity Reports a plus
