Description
The Talent Organization advances Prudential's aspiration to make talent its most important competitive advantage by focusing on key talent priorities and by providing consistent execution and delivery of our core talent management processes and programs, specifically with respect to attracting, developing and retaining talent.
 
The Talent Management Consultant will be responsible for leading or contributing to the execution of projects that focus on advancing our talent priorities.  The incumbent will work closely with the Program Office for the Leadership and Talent Management Initiative and partner with members of the Talent Organization to execute against our objectives.
 
The ideal candidate should possess a background in consulting with experience in project management, execution of change management strategies, and be familiar with Talent Management practices and processes; the ideal candidate will be expert at providing structure and organization to projects where ambiguity and shifting priorities are to be anticipated. 
 
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Supports projects across the Talent Organization to advance our talent objectives as either a project team member or project lead

  • Analyze, research, assess and recommend solutions to advance our objectives  

  • Prepare and at times present project related materials to various audiences that may range from analytical assessments to strategic proposals 

  • Work closely with Leadership and Talent Management workstream leads to support execution of change management plans 

 

  • 3-5 years consulting experience (in a consulting environment)
  • Project management experience
  • Self starter  - demonstrates initiative - someone who does not need to be assigned tasks but rather thinks through the problem/assignment and determines what needs to be done
  • Strong focus on delivery - upholds high performance standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills - able to understand the audience and present information/materials accordingly
  • Strong skills preparing communication materials and presentations is required
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to influence/persuade- ability to enlist buy-in and build support for initiatives
  • Strong analytical stills - ability to integrate concepts/connect the dots
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes in the environment and priorities - comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to remain productive under pressure that comes from shifting priorities, deadlines, etc.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in teams
  • Human Capital consulting/analytics, Change Management and/or Talent Management experience a plus
