Director, Actuary ~ Individual Life Financial Reporting Job Listing at Prudential in Hartford, CT

This position will be responsible for key financial modeling functions for Individual Life asset adequacy analysis.  This position will provide the candidate with significant interaction with Prudential’s senior leadership within the Finance, Valuation, Modeling, Corporate Actuarial and Investment divisions.  This position will also be critical in helping to set the strategic direction for financial modeling and valuation of Individual Life products to comply with new regulatory reserve and capital requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF THE POSITION:

• Responsible for Individual Life asset adequacy analysis support and modeling efforts.


• Support for Principles Based Reserves, capital management, & economic modeling.


• Ensure consistency and best practices in modeling and reserving


• Work with Individual Life finance and pricing senior management analyzing results
• Support ad-hoc projects that impact the profitability of the Individual Life block


• Evaluate and implement regulatory changes to Individual Life asset adequacy analysis
  


• Promote the development of actuarial staff
  

 

• College Degree (BA / BS) required
• FSA designation preferred, MAAA or willingness to pursue once eligible             
  
• Experience with Individual Life products preferred
  
• Experience with TAS and/or MoSes required
  
• Experience with Triton preferred
  
• Experience with GGY AXIS preferred
  
• Prior leadership experience preferred
  
• Proven ability to work with broad teams to accomplish goals
  
• Advanced ability to grasp complex subject matter, provide insightful analysis, and develop innovative solutions
  
• Strong oral and written communication skills
