Job Description and Responsibilities:
 
The Director, Business Development for Voluntary Benefits provides subject matter expertise to the field, clients and brokers to support the sale of Group Insurance Voluntary Products.  This role partners with our sales and account management organizations to educate on, and strategically position and sell Voluntary Products to new prospects and existing customers on a direct basis and through third parties.  The Director responds to the most complex inquiries from clients and brokers, and may assist actuarial and product development in developing new products.    
 
This position can be remotely or located in the following: Roseland, NJ, Dresher, PA, Chicago, IL or Atlanta, GA.

 

Job Requirements:

• Strong background in Voluntary Products  (5+ years preferred)
• Experience interacting with sales and account management professionals, as well as external brokers and clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills so that product strategy can be effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders
• Proven results orientation
• Excellent relationship building skills, both internally and externally
• Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve goals
• Strong ability to influence and motivate others
• Travel required 25-50%
