DescriptionROLE DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the day to day resource management of a team consisting of a mix of Business and System Analysts. Leads the Business and Technical Systems Analysis functions leveraging industry standard methods to deliver systems solutions aligned with customer expectations, on time, within budget, and with anticipated business value. Leads team who are responsible for delivering business requirements definition and documentation, use cases, user acceptance test planning, technical systems analysis, functional design and documentation, and business/system processing rule development. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages resource allocations within appropriate timeframes for all direct reports working on numerous projects. Manages a team consisting of both Business and Technical Systems Analysis who create business requirements and design solutions which are then utilized by the Development Team into integrated code, implementing business rules, and unit testing prior to delivering the final product to the Quality Assurance Team. Responsible for supervisory, administrative functions and career development of team members. Travels between Prudential Sites located in Dresher, PA, Woodbridge, NJ and Shelton CT at least once a month to meet with direct reports. Provides functional leadership for the Requirements and Design Phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Develops expertise to navigate and engage the Annuities Information Technology (AIT) Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology within a Plan/Deliver/Quality Assurance/Operate model. Ensures that all required artifacts for the Requirements and Design phases of the SDLC are complete, accurate and meet or exceed the needs of the Business. Mentors Lead Technical Systems Analysts (TSA) and Lead Business Systems Analysts (BSA) as they oversee the Requirements and Design Phase of team projects. Enforces Functional Specification standards, establishing/maintaining best practices, and driving these principles throughout Delivery. Prepares and communicate project and resource updates to Resource Manager and Annuities Information Technology Project Management Office. Ensures all metrics data is collected for all critical processes during the Requirements and Design Phases of the SDLC. Ensures on-time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans. Develops personal capabilities measured against "best in industry" standard practices. Endorses a winning culture with a repeatable, process-based approach in which all members of the organization recognize the interdependence of the Plan/Delver/QA/Operate model and their role in effectively delivering for the business customers. Seeks input from multiple sources/levels within organization and incorporates that knowledge into action plan. Enhances and shares knowledge of the technology industry and the possibilities that new technological developments bring to the Annuities line of business. On occasion, take on the responsibilities of the Lead TSA and / or Lead BSA roles as needed. Other duties and / or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis. Bachelors Degree required. 8+ years of IT or related industry experiences. Direct management responsibilities and experience of a large team consisting of both employees and consulting mix. Domain experience in Annuities or in a relevant industry. Experience managing both domestic and offshore resources. Experience in software development life cycle especially in the Requirements and Design Phases. Knowledge of systems and application architecture. Demonstrates a Strong Moral Compass.
