Governance, Engagement, and Environmental Sustainability teams seek to effectively communicate with and engage a broad spectrum of stakeholders. These stakeholders are internal and external to Prudential, world-wide and diverse. The communication and engagement will address a variety of issues of importance to both these stakeholders and the company. We are seeking an experienced professional to support these efforts. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in corporate governance, business analysis, research skills and communications including: · Experience/knowledge of corporate governance at a Fortune 500 company · Comprehensive communication strategy and plan development and execution using traditional and innovative methods including social media for internal and external audiences · Ability to turn broad concepts and ideas into a compelling, values-based messages within presentations, whitepapers, proposal or articles for business and lay periodicals, letters to the editor etc o Important communications embedded in regulatory documents such as the Annual Proxy Statement as well as other reports such as the Sustainability Report o Internal corporate communications such as presentations, talking points, web pages, newsletter articles o Senior executive briefing books o Letters to shareholders and customers · Demonstrated success at merging high-level strategic thinking with high-energy, flawless execution while managing others and multiple projects for a variety of internal clients
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Work with Chief Governance Officer (CGO) and direct reports on priorities for effective communication and engagement with external and internal stakeholders · Implement a fact driven approach to analyze issues, complete trend analyses, and develop materials that are clear and compelling · Develop communications with CGO and direct reports to ensure knowledge and support of governance topics and sustainability activities/results · Align cross-team and cross-company messaging with core themes and strategies · Develop content for executive reviews and strategy meetings · Project manage the development of publications, reports, other communication/engagement deliverables and special projects · Be an onsite resource at events to ensure flawless execution · Bachelor's degree in relevant field; higher degree such as JD, MBA or MA desirable · Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in Corporate Governance/Corporate Secretary's Office, or Investor Relations at a Fortune 500 company · Knowledge of corporate governance/board practices and public company reports is necessary · Knowledge of environmental and sustainability is desirable · Ability to make complex issues understandable · Exceptional written and communications skills proven various groups - customers, shareholders, investors, regulators, employees · Ability to research issues effectively, thoroughly and efficiently · Ability to act quickly under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects within a diverse; portfolio of initiatives on a US and potential global level · Track record of working successfully with senior managers · Proven manager of people Apply on Company Website |
