Director, Email Marketing Job Listing at Prudential in Newark, NJ
Prudential is seeking a Director of Email Marketing to join the eBusiness Development Group, the enterprise's Digital Center of Excellence. The Director of Email Marketing manages the firm's email marketing platform and understands how to best integrate this discipline into more comprehensive digital marketing programs.
As an expert in email marketing and digital techniques, the Director partners closely with eBusiness leads, business unit strategists, and other marketers to assess opportunities and define broad plans that span the digital landscape. In addition to hands-on involvement in planning, the Director champions the best practices that improve email marketing program performance across the business.
In addition to supporting Prudential's lines of business, this role will also collaborate with Prudential's internal ad agency and build / maintain complex relationships with other areas of Global Communications, Global Business Technology Services, Legal and Finance. This role will provide input on email strategy, creative, list management, business rules, data collection for customer preference centers and overall web site strategies that involve email correspondence. This role will also be responsible for training business stakeholders on the company's email platform as well as educating users on how to gain insights from email marketing analytics in order to make more informed decisions.
As a key leader in the Interactive Marketing organization, the Director will help shape the email service offering. The Director is responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage email marketing capabilities to assist lines of business in meeting their business goals, as well as identifying new markets for exploration.
5+ years experience managing B2B and B2C email marketing campaigns
Experience managing integrated marketing programs in the financial services sector prefered.
Proven expertise and results managing email marketing programs that integrate with Search, Display, Mobile, Social media marketing as well as other traditional and emerging marketing channels
Expertise in managing external agencies, email platform vendors, list managers, data compilers as well as internal cross functional teams
Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver acquisition, retention and up-sell programs
Extensive experience managing multimillion dollar marketing budgets
Strong understanding of ecommerce strategy and user experience
Experience in designing, implementing and analyzing marketing test and control experiments
Strong oral, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
The ability to communicate objectives and results to a variety of audiences
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
Undergraduate Degree required
