Description
Prudential's eBusiness Development Group (eDG) is looking for a Director, Digital Innovation & Marketing Research, to lead the collection of Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer digital best practices and consumer insights based on in-house metrics and analytics and external research partners. This person will support improving the overall customer experience and achieving specific business unit goals for various digital assets.  In addition, this person will monitor digital trends across industries for new developments that could work in a highly regulated industry. As a catalyst for innovation within eDG and across Prudential, the Director will constantly focused on the next strategic step that has a true ROI.
 
Responsibilities
         Deliver compelling and strategic insights based on multi-channels of research that build ROI for business units, improve the customer experience, and enhance the brand
         Provide internal clients with best practices for digital marketing, social media, mobile, and the web
         Supervise the publication of a series of thought leadership newsletters and reports covering digital strategy and insights
         Propose pilot programs and primary research initiatives; continually refine research objectives
         Lead the generation of insights and analysis of the digital activities of key competitors
         Think strategically about what we should be doing two-years in the future
         Act as a trusted advisor to business units to help them succeed in the digital space
         Manage syndicated research relationships and support primary research projects
 

Requirements
         7+ years of business experience in digital marketing research for a Fortune 500 company or a major digital agency
         5+ years managing and coordinating multiple strategy projects across internal teams and client relationships
         In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
         5+ years managing and coordinating multiple strategy projects across internal teams and client relationships.
         Documented achievements in digital marketing innovation
         Proficient in Web Trends, Google Analytics, Dart/Doubleclick, and other tools
         Excellent understanding of firms supplying syndicated research such as Forrester, Gartner, Cerulli, kasina, and others and their relative values and strengths
         Extensive experience educating internal teams and clients on best practices derived from various channels of research
         Highly articulate and persuasive verbally and in all written formats
         Facile in the social media universe and its distinct marketing opportunities
         Ability to remain productive under pressures that may come from deadlines, shifting priorities, emergency social media response duties, etc.
         Undergraduate degree in a communications, business, or marketing field
         Advanced degree or related certificate is desirable
 
Highly Preferred
         Experience working in financial services, especially in a large firm that provides both Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer products and services
         Knowledge of compliance issues in financial services or a regulated industry
         Ability to display humor when under pressure
