Description
The Director, Strategy and Planning helps Prudential Retirement develop Enterprise and P&L / Functional strategies.  He/she leads a team of business analysts to develop key strategies in support of Prudential Retirement's businesses and functions.  The Director manages multiple concurrent strategy engagements and prioritizes the team's problem-solving approach, analyses and development of recommendations to meet the needs of key clients.  Our clients include Total Retirement Solutions (TRS), Pension and Structured Solutions (PSS), Institutional Investment Solutions (IIS), and our Functions (Strategic Relationships, Marketing, Technology, etc).  Key responsibilities include building and developing a team of business analysts, creating and executing project plans for discrete strategic analysis projects, presenting results to leadership (Strategic Leadership Team and Retirement Leadership Team members) and working with the businesses and functions to successfully implement the strategic recommendations.
 
This position can be based in either Woodbridge, NJ or Hartford, CT.

  • MBA, CPA, and/or CFA, or strategy consulting experience is strongly preferred to be effective in strategy analysis and development.
  • Preference for experience successfully managing a team of at least 2-3 direct reports.
  • Should have prior experience with some form of strategic analysis and development, either within a corporate environment or with an external consultancy.
  • Must have a quantitative background with previous responsibility for financial analysis (e.g., within finance, accounting, pricing, or actuarial).
  • Retirement industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
