Description
This position is responsible for the pricing and financial review/underwriting of existing business full-service retirement products (DB/DC/NQ).  In this role, the individual will be accountable for achieving marketplace earnings, retention, and growth of existing business clients for an assigned region.  Other primary responsibilities include supporting the review of client revenue disclosures as well as supporting Pricing and Retirement projects/initiatives.
 
  Daily Responsibilities:
• Partnering with Relationship Management / Client Services teams to achieve marketplace earnings, retention, and plan growth. Maintaining relationships and settling differences with minimal noise
• Developing case-level pricing strategies that balance financial values with sound business judgment• Gaining an in-depth knowledge of pricing tools and techniques and identifying opportunities for technological improvement
• Develop a detailed understanding of the Revenue Disclosure process and review client specific disclosures for accuracy and reasonableness
• Involvement/participation in project teams to provide financial analysis and expertise.  Provide status/updates on project plans in order to achieve deadlines and results
• Prioritizing time appropriately between strategic pricing discussions/reviews and project work.
• Providing financial tools and resources to Relationship Management/ Client Services to guide decisions, including prioritization of business profitability initiatives
• Driving business profitability initiatives to optimize financial and retention impacts • Developing a strong knowledge of current competitive and customer views; actively participates in client/consultant presentations when appropriate
• Influencing internal and external customers based on credibility of relationships
• Collaborating with sales partners/RFP team (when appropriate) during the RFP process

Job Requirements: • BS Business/Accounting/Finance or MBA preferred
• Experience with full-service retirement products (DC/DB/NQ) • Required skills include: strong analytical, verbal and written communication, partnering, influencing/negotiating, and time management skills • Possess leadership qualities.  Direct financial impact of decisions demands politically savvy and the ability to influence Relationship Managers and Relationship Management executive team • Team player
• Flexibility and acts quickly to respond to changing customer needs • Coaching and training partners on pricing and financial techniques • Ability to obtain an in depth understanding of pricing models that are Excel/Access based • Intellectual capacity - the pricing methodology involves numerous complex concepts including actuarial concepts
