There is currently an Associate Manager position opening for a highly motivated person on the Life Distribution and Business Partner support team within Individual Life Finance, based in Newark. This position will offer visibility to all levels of management and provide an understanding of Agency Distribution, Prudential's career distribution channel.
 
The Associate Manager will report to the Manager-Agency Distribution Forecasting and Business Partner Support and will work collaboratively within the Life Finance organization as well as partner very closely with the Agency Distribution organization. Developing relationships with the Agency management team is an important component of this role.
 
The finance professional in this unit will be responsible for planning and forecasting Agency Distribution's variable expenses, analyzing actual, plan and forecast results, as well as sales and key business drivers. This individual will assist in the preparation, review, and presentation of various business cases to support business initiatives and growth opportunities. Additionally, this associate will be responsible for pricing and modeling Agency Distribution Field Management compensation changes and assisting with industry surveys and competitive benchmarking.
 
General Responsibilities:

• Quarterly Agency Distribution variable expense forecasting, in support of the full income statement forecast.


• Partner with the business on establishing key drivers for the forecast


• Provide insightful analytics of forecasting results and variances to senior management.


• Support business case and initiative development with financial modeling and analyses.


• Price changes to Field Management compensation plans.


• Preparation of quarterly results for management presentations.


• Develop relationships/partnerships with Agency Distribution business partners and Individual Life financial reporting groups.


• Fixed expense analysis and support


• Coordinate and analyze industry surveys and other competitive benchmarking.

• Business, Economics, or Finance 4-year degree
• Prior working experience in Finance or related areas,
• Financial modeling experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Strong PC skills (MS Office Applications)
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and be a "team-player"
• Flexibility needed during peak times
