The Lead Integration Developer role is a key role for enabling otherwise disparate systems to seamlessly communicate at different layers in our n-tiered and service oriented architecture.  An ESB along with various business object models and interface models will be used in this service oriented architecture.  This role will require the successful candidate to be a hands-on tech lead within a team of middle-tier/integration developers.  It also requires the ambition to learn our Annuities business object model and interface model towards gaining a high level understanding of the business systems which will be integrated through the ESB. 
 
This applicant must be highly motivated towards meeting project deadlines and technology challenges. Design responsibilities include determining the best patterns to use for each integration scenario in order to gain the best performance, reusability and maintainability. Industry trends and the organization's technical roadmap will need to be taken into account during design. Development responsibilities include mapping, transformation, and validation tasks using Progress Data Xtend Semantic Integrator (DXSI), creating ESB processes for a Software AG ESB, and unit testing components that are created.  Technical Support responsibilities for tier 3 production issues include analyzing enterprise service issues and determining the causes. The Lead Integration Developer will work closely with Integration Manager, Solution Engineer, Integration Technical Systems Analyst, and other Developers.

         Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred
         Minimum 5 years experience working on a systems integration team with at least 2 years in a tech lead role
         Minimum 2 years experience working with ESB software.  Software AG experience is a plus but not required.
         Strong knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA), JMS, web services, and http
         Knowledge of XML, XSD and data transformation via flat files
         Experience with designing, developing, and implementing complex integration for end-to-end solutions at a middleware level
         Experience with publish\subscribe and request\response methodologies
         Ability to review functional requirements and determine the type of integration work that is needed based on the requirements
         Ability to optimize the performance characteristics of an ESB integration environment by planning, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting various systems integrations
         Object oriented programming experience in .NET and\or J2EE platforms
         Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
         Strong interpersonal skills including team collaboration, leadership, presentation, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
         Working knowledge of  databases and networking
         Ability to quickly perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technology or approach
         Ability to work independently as well as in a globally diverse team from various technology backgrounds
