Appraise and underwrite applications for insurance to assess
mortality risk within company guidelines to assure equitable
treatment of policyholders and producers and to meet the company's
financial objectives. You will also be accountable for determining
whether to accept, modify, or decline a risk through evaluation of
an individual's medical history or physical condition, occupational
hazards, financial background, insurable interest, and other
information pertinent to the decision.Professional
communication skills requireddue tofrequent contact
with the field force to gather information on which to base
decisions, and to explain and defend underwriting courses of
action.

We are looking for an individual who will make a difference in ourorganization and possesses the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of individual life underwriting experiencepreferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Industry designations and/or continuous involvement ineducation and outside development preferred
• Experience in an imaging environment a plus
• Work location is flexibleandopen to remote workarrangements
