Description

PMCC is seeking a highly motivated individual for placement as a Loan Processor in its Affordable Multifamily Housing Finance team.  This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia.


 


Job Description:


Position reports to the Affordable Chief Underwriter in Virginia.  Candidate will work with the loan team: analysts, loan and closing officers, borrowers, legal counsel, vendors and related parties.  Position entails coordinating all due diligence processing requirements for multifamily loans.  Candidate must have strong organizational skills, be a strong self starter, work independently as well as in a group environment, and have the ability to multi-task and manage high volume workload from time to time. Position requires strong organizational skills and candidate must be very detail oriented and be able to work with demanding borrowers and investors.  Familiarity (at least one year of experience) with multifamily Federal Housing Administration (FHA) as well as Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac multifamily conventional is a requirement.  Experience with affordable loan products within these specialties is a plus, but not a requirement. 


                                                                                    


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and comfortable working in teams both co-located in the same office as the candidate as well as co-workers located elsewhere throughout the U.S. 


 


Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:


  • Perform standard office duties (supplies due diligence/ordering, mailings, file preparation and organization, other administrative duties as needed)

  • Interact with originators and underwriters

  • Perform loan database functions for receipt of borrower and other funds and request payments for invoices, retainers, etc.

  • Assist in obtaining bids from third-party report providers

  • Assist in receipt of due diligence materials from borrower team for delivery to third party report providers

  • Set up due diligence checklists and forms

  • Assist in delivery of due diligence materials from borrower to underwriting team, including coordinating the collection of property and borrower information

  • Assist underwriting team in locating market and demographic data for property analysis

  • Order tax certificates, flood certification(s), OFAC searches

  • Coordinate underwriter site inspections with on-site staff and/or borrower

  • Assist underwriting team in maintaining data integrity in loan database

  • Upload required documentation into loan database

  • Assist in the assembly, copying and distribution of loan submissions to internal loan committee, FHA and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac

  • Provide Lender Counsel with requested documentation

  • Develop tickler system for updates to processing requirements

 



  • Relevant work experience in the multifamily mortgage business is mandatory
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills needed
