This position is on our Structured Settlements Team in Woodbridge, New Jersey within Prudential Retirement, a market leader in providing retirement plan products and services to public, private, and non profit organizations.  The Manager position on the Structured Settlements Control and Resolution team will lead a group of approximately ten people including two direct reports.  They will be responsible for overseeing a team who perform the processing and service related to structured settlement claims, suspense reconciliations, training, quality assurance, and ensuring that required financial, operational, and regulatory procedures are in place and operating effectively. This individual and their team will serve as a consultant to other areas regarding exception processing, system enhancements and the design of new applications and products.  Efforts are geared toward ensuring that operational risks are well managed and operations are well controlled.
 
Primary responsibilities include: 
  • Responsible for supervising the performance, development, quality, and activities of a team of approximately ten individuals, including two direct reports

  • Evaluates and recommends internal controls

  • Ensures operational risks are well managed and operations are well controlled

  • Displays proactive risk management

  • Provides support and direction on data integrity

  • Reviews and directs resolution for problem cases

  • Responsible for development and implementation of training and quality assurance programs

  • Provides oversight and direction for ensuring standard operating procedures are in place and current  

  • Maintains department production and quality standards and ensures standards are met and exceeded

  • Evaluates and implements service and operational improvements
