The Manager, Finance - Reporting & Analysis is responsible for the calculation, analysis, and internal reporting of Prudential Retirement's client based business results.  The position will be based in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  
  • Support all facets of the End-to-end Monthly Reporting and Analysis process including:
    • Account Value and Net Flow reporting and analysis

    • Financial Reporting Database Close Cycle

    • Oversight of Department Controls and Documentation

    • Controllers Monthly Variance Analysis

    • Quarterly Book of Business Synopsis of Trends and Drivers

    • Revenue calculations at the client and fund levels. 

  • Providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to staff

  • Partner with colleagues across finance and accounting to ensure all internal calculations reflect current pricing structures, allocation algorithms, and volume levels.

  • Lead Department Enhancements and Initiatives

  • Conduct Strategic Projects as needed.


  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.  A technology or engineering background with strong financial experience would also qualify.
  • 5+ years of business finance, accounting, or related discipline is preferred.   
  • Expert level in MS Office Excel and a sound functional knowledge of relational database architecture.
  • Operational experience and a strong working knowledge of business drivers, economics and market exposure within Financial Services/Retirement industry is preferred. 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands, to communicate complex issues in a clear succinct way to peers and senior executives, and to partner effectively with Retirement business units and Prudential Corporate areas
  • Management experience preferred; collaborative and team-oriented leadership style
  • Highly motivated and creative problem solver; able to thrive in a fast-based, results oriented environment
  • Ability to work overtime during peak periods
