This position is being created as part of ALM’s Modeling & Analytics group which is responsible for quantitative modeling and portfolio analysis.  The group reports to the Domestic CIO and provides analytical support to portfolio managers dedicated to each of Prudential’s major lines of business.

 

As a member of ALM’s Modeling & Analytics is team this individual will provides support for the  Domestic Chief Investment Officer and staff support for cross-ALM functions such as oversight of the data and reporting infrastructure, production of standardized ALM and portfolio monitoring reports and Business Continuation Planning.    

 

Responsibilities:
·         Assist in the oversight of data and reporting infrastructure for ALM
·         Monitor key portfolio metrics for compliance and for early identification of       
          trends and expectations
·         Track competitor information
·         Assist in the tracking of value-added for tactical initiatives
·         Ad hoc research, analysis, reports assigned by the CIO
·         Produce presentations for the CIO and VPs-ALM for regulators, clients and
          investors
·         Assist in production of the Strategic Asset Allocation, Multi-Year asset
          allocation and Relative Value packages
·         Assist in production of monthly investment results packages
·         Interact with portfolio managers, Investment Risk and Investment Operations
          on various topics as needed

·         BA/BS in finance, economics, accounting, or a similar business field

·         Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

·         Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills

·         Excellent time management skills

·         Knowledge of Cognos 8 a plus

·         Familiarity with characteristics of investment vehicles

·         Understanding of GAAP and SAP accounting for investments

·         Creative approach to problem solving
