DescriptionPrudential Investments (PI) mutual funds and separate accounts is looking for a highly motivated individual for a project management specialist position on the PI Product Development team. PI Product Development researches and implements business initiatives that support the growth and retention of the firm's mutual fund assets, as well as the competitiveness and profitability of the product line.
Roles & Responsibilities Manage implementation of mutual fund product initiatives, including, but not limited to, new product launches and/or business lines, product enhancements (investments/pricing), mergers, proxies, liquidations. Tasks include, but not limited to; create and maintain project plans, develop timelines, coordinate and facilitate cross functional working group meetings, etc. Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of functional business area considerations, including, but not limited to, Investments, Legal, Accounting, Marketing, Operations and various External Service Providers. Interface with business partners to determine initiative feasibility, proposed timelines, desired communications and positioning, business impact, resource requirements and other important factors, and to coordinate the implementation of approved initiatives. Establish and maintain processes and connectivity with other business groups in support of information sharing and initiative assessment. Participate in product design, research and development. Support a team environment by assisting on other initiatives and various ad/hoc projects as needed based on group workload. 3- 5 years of Financial Services industry experience, preferably in the mutual fund business. Strong project management experience leading cross-functional teams. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and organizational levels. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on a timely basis. Self directed; must be comfortable with establishing objectives, then working independently to achieve them, seeking manager's input as needed. Attention to detail a must. An understanding of financial markets, as well as investment concepts and issues. Ability to lead meetings and present ideas to a group. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Knowledge of industry databases (Lipper, Simfund, Morningstar, etc.) is a plus. Apply on Company Website |
