Description
The Senior Actuarial Recruiter will direct efforts to source and hire qualified actuarial candidates for Prudential. Responsibilities will include working with Hiring Managers to define/hone job specifications; creating and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies, assessing candidates' non-technical skills/knowledge and attributes. Additionally, the incumbent will play an active role in converting the candidate to new hire status and will facilitate a positive on boarding experience.  Independently manage sourcing and recruitment marketing strategy for specific positions or job families. Search databases, Internet, and other resources to find candidates. Serves as a contact person for the candidate, hiring manager, and recruiting coordinator on the status of the requisition and the candidate. Manages relationship with search firms and other candidate sources as required.  
 
Activities
  • Develops sourcing strategies for new and existing requisitions as assigned

  • Searches corporate and candidate databases for qualified candidates

  • Makes contact and follows up with candidates to create and maintain interest in a position/Prudential

  • Builds pipelines of candidates for specific skill sets/job families

  • Transactional activities: attaining candidate information, offer letters, communications as needed  

  • Part of project team representing actuarial hiring across multiple businesses


  • Minimum 5 years experience recruiting talent is required
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in and/or supporting financial services is required.
  • Experience with recruiting Actuarial professionals
  • Strong sourcing skills with demonstrated successes utilizing current on-line sourcing techniques, networking and building pipelines are required
  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • Technical capabilities: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database systems, applicant tracking systems are required
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in previous positions is required
  • Demonstrated strong communications and organizational skills are required
  • Comprehensive behavioral based interviewing and candidate assessment skills are required
  • Strong consultative skills to support Hiring Managers and convert candidates are required
  • Utilization of market intelligence to tap into top talent is required
  • Previous experience in gathering and analyzing information for the business and customers are required
Desired Qualifications:
  • Both Corporate and Agency experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Taleo Applicant Tracking System is preferred
  • Strong Project Management skills is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive management and gain commitment to drive results is preferred
