Senior Appeals Analyst Job Listing at Prudential in Roseland, NJ (Job ID DMS0004Y)

Manages assigned caseload of more complex appeals. Utilizes specialty resources effectively including clinical, vocational and/or rehabilitative staff to achieve optimum outcomes for claims direction. Interacts with external customers including, but not limited to claimants, attorneys, clients and physicians to gather information and make decision on appeals. Analyzes, approves or denies basic appeal claims and some or all complex appeal decisions. May engage in settlement discussions on claims. May represent company in mediation hearings, depositions, etc. Typically reports to Supervisor of Disability Claims.

This position can be located in Roseland, New Jersey or Portland, Maine.

*Seeking candidates for both STD and LTD appeal positions.

*2-3 years experience in disability claim management

*Disability claim appeal experience a plus.

*Strong communication and time management skills required.

*Proficiency in PC-based programs such as Word and Excel, as well as DCMS.

*Strong problem solving, decision making & analytical skills are desired.

*Detail oriented.

*Interpersonal skills.

*Customer Service skills.
