Detailed Background:
Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (PMCC) is a full service commercial mortgage provider of multifamily, affordable housing, retail, office, industrial and hotel properties.  PMCC’s product line includes fixed rate and floating rate loans; Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA lending; and mezzanine financing. 
 
PMCC originates and services a wide variety of commercial mortgage loans, for both placement into Prudential's General Account, and for purchase by other third party capital sources such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and other institutional investors.
 
PMCC Finance currently has an open position for a dynamic candidate who is interested in developing a broad knowledge of the PMCC business.  The candidate will be part of a team that coordinates and supervises the aggregation of the PMCC actual and forecasted financial results, while also supporting the expense analysis function within PMCC. This position will handle numerous requests for ad-hoc information, presentations, and meeting materials, while maintaining ownership of the central PMCC forecast model.  Areas of focus will include analysis of business drivers, expense analysis, headcount, and AUM.  In addition, the candidate will work closely with other areas of PIM Finance, Corporate Treasurers, and PMCC. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Quarterly PMCC forecast deliverables, including analysis around the drivers of earnings

  • Consolidate PMCC’s forecast while partnering with each PMCC finance business unit

  • Support and manage AUM reporting for PMCC, including net flow analysis

  • Support the monthly and quarterly expense close, including the preparation and upload of journal entries

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly expense deliverables, including Business Unit metrics and headcount analysis

  • Prepare various financial schedules and executive summaries for presentations

  • Continue to evaluate and make process improvements wherever necessary

  • Support any Ad Hoc requests as needed


  • Accounting or Finance Major
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA/CFA/MBA (or progress toward) a plus
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage Ad Hoc projects and Business as usual deliverables simultaneously
  • Overtime required during peak reporting cycles
