The Senior Actuarial Associate is a position within Retirement Plan
Strategies (RPS), a large and growing business within Prudential
Retirement that focuses on delivering actuarial, investment and
regulatory consulting solutions to retirement plan sponsors. The
individual will support the delivery of actuarial services for
Prudential Retirement's Defined Benefit clients.
 
The candidate selected will:

• Complete annual actuarial valuations, government filings, and
  FAS ASC 715 pension and welfare disclosures for Defined
  Benefit clients' plans.


• Provide information requested by accountants in connection with
  plan audits.


• Prepare any necessary information requested by clients with
  respect to consultative opportunities.

May be dedicated to
a client delivery practice-Jumbo, Large or Small.

• Degree in actuarial science, mathematics or finance
  
  
• Strong in MS Excel office suite, including knowledge of Excelmacros/Visual Basics (knowledge of Access would be aplus) 
  
  
• Preferred candidates will have an understanding of the DefinedBenefit product 
  
  
• Ability to apply basic actuarial principles to resolve DefinedBenefit plan issues 
  
  
• Strong analytical or mathematical skills
  
  
• Creative problem solver and quick learner
  
  
• Effective written and oral communication skills
  
  
• Process and results oriented, with a strong attention todetails
  
  
• Ability to successfully work on multiple projects and delivertimely results
