Description
The successful candidate will be part of a direct marketing team responsible for implementing direct marketing campaigns within Association Marketing in the Group Insurance Division.  This person should be a proven problem solver and self-starter with superior analytical ability.  They will work with our internal and external partners to receive customer data, oversee the database load, develop and review quality assurance reports as well as the technical skills necessary to query data in SAS. 
 
This position will be working closely with our production and creative team to translate business needs into data requests.  He/she will prepare data processing specifications for our programmers and work with them to create segmented direct mail lists for hand off to our production team.  This individual will conduct rigorous quality assurance tests before releasing data into production and updating various production management reports.  The successful candidate must have excellent data management, analytical and project management skills, effective communication skills and solid direct marketing experience in the area of database marketing, testing and analysis.  He/she must also possess the technical skills to conduct comprehensive data audits on all outgoing data files.
Specific job responsibilities include:
         Obtaining data feeds on a timely basis and overseeing the database load.
       Verifying and tracking all input/output file counts
       Managing the National Change of Address file updates
       Managing internal and external suppression file updates
       Performing quality assurance on database loads
         Translating the Marketing Project Plan into data processing specifications IT to create targeted direct mail and email campaigns including merge/purge, segmentation and seed list requirements.
         Single point of contact with internal data processing partner to create mailing lists including the development and management of all project timelines.
         Preparing and executing comprehensive data quality checks on all outgoing data files and mailing lists and troubleshooting any issues through resolution.

Documenting and updating the campaign list development standard operating procedures and recommending process changes to more efficiently process data.


 



 
 

4 year college degree-
Prefer 2-3 years direct markeing experience
Advanced knowledge of EXCEL and Powerpoint.
Ability to program in SAS to execute comprehensive QA process
An understanding of databse mining and database queries would be helpful
