This position will function as an integral member of the Group Underwriting Policy & Shared Services Unit.  The Policy & Shared Services Unit is responsible for varied support, risk management and control functions for the Group Insurance Life & Disability Underwriting organization consisting of 100+ associates. 
 
Primary responsibilities of the position include: 

•  Development & maintenance of Underwriting templates utilizing HotDocs software.   Underwriting templates are utilized by Underwriters to document decisions and offers and other standardized requests.  .  


•  Oversight of documentation and version control for the template release cycle. 


• Interaction with subject matter experts to build logical and organized interviews for template development.

 
Additional responsibilities may include support on the following:

• Documentation of business continuation plans & testing.


• Records management oversight


• Completion and documentation of required business risk assessments.


• Provide back-up support to the Administrative and Quality Assurance teams


• Completion of procurement/security requests for the Underwriting organization.  


• Project management support on ad-hoc projects

 
 

• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Access skills (a plus)
• Understanding of technical codes and logic (JavaScript, HTML, XML, VBA)
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Good Analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Resourcefulness, flexibility and creativity
• Knowledge of Group Insurance Life & Disability products a plus but not required.
• College degree or equivalent work experience required
