Description
Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (PMCC) is one of the nation's leading providers of commercial mortgages on multifamily, retail, office, industrial, and hotel properties financing billions of dollars each year. The PMCC offers one of the most comprehensive lines of real estate finance products including fixed-rate, floating-rate and bridge loans including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA lending as well as mezzanine and affordable housing financing.
 
The PMCC's Agency Platform is seeking Underwriting Analyst in San Francisco, CA. This position will report to the Director of Underwriting. 
 
Position Description:
 
Position allows the candidate to engage in the analysis of large, complex multifamily properties in order to evaluate the viability of the proposed loan transaction.  The candidate will work in a team environment creating analyses and supporting recommendations to senior staff for their review and approval.  The candidate will work closely with a wide spectrum of groups, both internally and externally, to ensure a customer friendly process.  This position is part of a team which will provide opportunities for exposure to tasks completed by other team members as well as the potential for advancement. 

BS/BA degree required in finance, real estate or a related discipline
One year of commercial real estate experience preferred. 
Experience underwriting multifamily real estate loans a plus. 
Familiarity with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac multifamily conventional loan programs a plus
Strong organization skills needed, detailed oriented and a self starter
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust priorities as needed
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, in particularly Word and Excel, needed.  Aptitude for Adobe and database applications preferred
Excellent analytical and math skills are critical
Strong organizational skills are required with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize in a fast paced, exciting environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
Ability to effectively work independently and also demonstrate strong partnering skills within a team environment
Ability to travel for site inspections is required
