DescriptionPrudential Retirement is seeking an individual to lead the newly formed Plan Compliance Services team. This role will be responsible for managing the Retirement Plan Consultants, Pension Consultants, and Compliance, Testing & Reporting functions. The successful candidate will oversee the development and integration of a new team, including responsibility for talent development and management of a group of about 100 associates. The candidate will cultivate a climate that values diversity and collaboration, requires ongoing changes that are driven from "the outside in", and provides strong career paths for associates. The candidate will successfully lead the integration of a new team, while simultaneously creating strong working relationships with a broad range of internal business partners, including Retirement Service & Operations, Product, Client Relations & Business Development. It is equally important that this candidate understands the needs of our clients and other external parties, such as benefits consultants, advisors and auditors. Lastly, the successful candidate will also have insight into the industry organizations that influence regulatory outcomes and have the ability to oversee the development of and servicing of plan compliance services that differentiate us from our competitors. This role will report directly to the VP, TRS Operations and will be fully accountable for performance management, associate climate, diversity, training, and employee development for all individuals on the team. This position can be located in Hartford, CT; Woodbridge, NJ; Scranton, PA; or Dubuque, IA. Primary Responsibilities Lead a large team of technical experts toward a shared purpose-specifically, to proactively design, implement and maintain secure retirement plans from a documentation, testing and compliance support perspective. Proactively lead the team in a way that creates the right climate, focuses with an external perspective, and establishes the right expectations around performance and results. Manage Prudential Retirement's suite of compliance services, including compliance and general testing, quality control, plan design and documentation, preparation of regulatory requirements such as Form 5500, and audit support. Evaluate evolving regulatory and legislative requirements, as well as industry trends, to determine relevance to our current and future book of business. Oversee the development of and participates in the implementation of proactive and actionable strategies to address risks for our clients and drive profitable growth. Partner with market-facing teams (Key Accounts, Relationship Managers, Retirement Plan Consultants, etc.) in support of the TRS sales strategy, highlighting our compliance support services as a market differentiator and key component of Prudential's value proposition. Represent TRS Operations on enterprise initiatives related to new legislative and/or regulatory obligations (e.g. Final 5500/Schedule C regs, 408(b)(2), etc.). Advocate for solutions that effectively manage risk, enhance client satisfaction, and align with the TRS service model. This position can be based in Scranton, PA; Woodbridge, NJ; Dubuque, IA; or Hartford CT.
