DescriptionThe Total Retirement Services (TRS) Actuarial Services Leader is responsible for developing and managing a team of actuarial professionals and the services they deliver to our clients and financial intermediaries in the Total Retirement Solutions business line. This Leader will set strategy, acquire and develop talent, manage the profitability of the book of business, and set policies for the team. S/he will collaborate with client facing and product leaders to develop and deliver strategic and timely actuarial services to employers for solving today's retirement challenges establishes strategy, operating, and financial objectives within Client Relations and Business Development division. This role makes decisions on the assignments for a team of roughly 80 associates from the perspective of client assignments, leadership assignments, and practice development assignments.
Additional Responsibilities: Lead the development and deployment of a market-leading actuarial practice Drive revenue and profits across existing client relationships Proactively create and collaborate on business opportunities across Prudential's business lines. Lead and manage an actuarial consulting book of business Contribute to client satisfaction and profitable persistency of the TRS book of existing business and contribute, when necessary, to issue resolution for clients Focus on professional development of the Actuarial team Compliance with actuarial standards and corporate policies Oversee product/ service development for new Actuarial services The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and credentials: 10+ years experience as a Consulting Actuary with success in leading a team of other actuaries for corporate, tax-exempt and governmental employers 10+ years proven management experience leading people and business iniatitives. Success in working across different functions across the enterprise - including sales, key accont management, and senior management,in order to drive outcomes that increase the customer satisfaction and produce larger customer relationships. Working knowledge of ERISA and the regulations impacting the sponsorship of qualified and nonqualified retirement programs Working knowledge of the accounting rules and financial statement reporting for retirement programs Ability to communicate complex retirement issues within our company, with advisors and clients to proactively develop and deliver optimal client outcomes Experience in building strong relationships with all levels of management across all business functions ASA/EA required; FSA strongly preferred.
